$20/month is a lot of savings.($240 yearly.) T Mobile = 4 lines $140 (4 lines with 3GB each) - TOTAL 12GBĪll the plans above beat AT&T. T-Mobile = 4 lines $130 (3 lines with 3GB each and 1 with 1GB) - TOTAL 10GB T-Mobile = 4 lines $120 (2 lines with 3GB each and 2 with 1GB) - TOTAL 8GB They lowered their bills, but not as much as T-Mobile. (so it is like an installment in the end.)ĪT&T basically has lowered their plans to show you that you can save money with their new plans, but when you decide to get that new line or upgrade.with the Next program.or 2 year program.your bill will go up by $25 for EACH line. And if you are in the "new" share mobile data plan, the 2-year contract also forces you to pay $25 more. The Next program forces you to pay in installment. We are used to upgrading phones and our bill staying the SAME. It is a complete 180 of what loyal family plan customers are accustomed to.

I can imagine your pain on the Next program, that is why I NEVER would agree to it. By that, I mean, customers who have been with AT&T for 10 or more years. The more.and more I read these looks like AT&T is making a lot of loyal customers mad.

This is not saving me money only making it harder to upgrade but it is sold that the upgrade is a benefit. So my bill went from 210.00 roughly on the old plan. It was the bill another 75.00-90.00 a month. Instead of paying 100.00 or 200.00 at once. I pay 100.00 for 10 GBand 15.00 for each phone line. I have been with Att for years and have always been able to upgrade around 18 months so this selling point is not different. They say there is no contract however when you look up your contract end date, it is 18 months. ATT is only out to find a way to make more money instead of keeping this affordable and maintaining loyal customers.Ītt next is simply the same as the contract but now you have to pay for the phone in installments as well. I perhaps should have read the FINE print to see all the wonderful international charges I was provided. Needless to say I will be closing my account. These charges are bogus for some automated updates that came through during my time on the cruise when most of the time my phone stayed in my cabin. I have always paid my bill and never had an interruption in service due to non payment. I called ATT and they said that since they had previously reimbursed me for the data overage they are unable to credit me for anything on this bill and that these charges are valid. I was able to get a 50.00 credit after argueing that I had been a customer here with ATT for 14 years. My bill is 680.00.More than the cruise and I did not sure my phone except for the above mentioned. I paid 480.00 per person to enoy a cruise to the mexico. I did not use my phone for anything except TWO calls that could not be avoided which I would consider a legit charge, my son also used text messages, which were only. I thought that if I didn't use the phone, that I would be fine.not true, any email sent to me,(whether I read it or not) any phone call made to me,(whether I answered or not), every behind the scenes update(whether I was aware of it or not) is all charged international roaming charges. I was unaware of the need to put the phone on airplane mode.

In addition to this frustration, I recently took a vacation on a cruise. My advise would be to wait until your current contract expires and switch to another carrrier. Needless to say, the ATT Next plan was created to charge for the same services you pay for now but if you need a new phone you have to get an installment plan.so if you have 4 devices on your plan and you want to upgrade the phones, you will pay at least 25.00 for each phone in addition to the services you are already paying for. Which increased my bill by another 25.00 a month. So now on top of charges for data usage, I have to pay an installment plan for his new phone. Shortly after switching to ATT Next my son needed a new phone. I called ATT and they did credit me for this charge. One month I was charged for extra data on the day that my bill ended. I have had to call ATT every month to argue this. Instead of my bill being lower, it has been higher every month. After talking to an ATT representative, he assured me that after looking at my previous data usage that the 4 lines I would be transferring the ATT Next plan would have no problem staying under the 10GB limit. I had been grandfathered in to have unlimited data from a previous plan, however, switching to this plan would mean that I would have to forfeit this.

I was talked into changing to the ATT next plan with promises that my bill would be lower.
